Hey there, I’m Tia — a Licensed Professional Counselor and the owner of a holistic private practice in The Woodlands, Texas. Over the years, I’ve worked with so many incredible people who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in the same cycle of saying “yes” when they really want to say “no.”
Here’s the thing I’ve learned,  it’s not because they don’t care about themselves or others, it’s because healthy boundaries are something most of us were never taught.
That’s why I created Balancing Boundaries, to give anxious and overextended adults a simple, supportive way to start identifying where their limits have gotten blurry and how to start strengthening them with confidence and compassion.
But this program isn’t just something I teach, no it’s something I’ve lived.
There was a time when my lack of boundaries left me exhausted, resentful, and unsure where I ended and everyone else began. Learning to protect my peace truly changed everything, like my relationships, my career, and my sense of self.
I also didn’t do it alone. My guy has been my biggest supporter and mirror throughout this process. He gently reminds me what healthy connection looks like and what mutual respect truly feels like. And funny enough, my dogs have been some of my best teachers, too! They remind me daily of the importance of patience, consistency, and showing up with love and structure (plus, they’re great listeners when I need to vent!).
Thanks to stronger boundaries, I’ve found so much more balance and I finally have time for the things that make my heart full, like Saturday college football, long walks with my dogs, and spending precious time with my amazing grand baby. Those moments remind me exactly why this work matters.
